The Mission
The mission of Vets on Set is to create a clear, dignified pathway for military veterans to transition into meaningful careers in film and television—by translating military skills into real on-set roles while strengthening Canada’s screen industry with disciplined, reliable crew.

VETS ON SET CO-FOUNDERS
Meet the Brothers
Andrew Atherton and Jeremy Atherton bring together two complementary worlds to form a uniquely effective leadership team.
Andrew Atherton, a retired Canadian Forces Brigadier-General and former base commander, brings decades of experience in large-scale training systems, operational leadership, and veteran transition. His career has been defined by building trust, leading diverse teams under pressure, and preparing people for complex, real-world environments—skills that translate directly to high-stakes film and television production.
Jeremy Atherton is a veteran film educator, producer, and program architect with more than twenty years of experience designing industry-driven film training and working closely with professional productions. He has built programs rooted in real workflows and professional standards, with a clear focus on employability rather than theory.
Together, Andrew and Jeremy combine military precision with creative-industry realism. Their partnership ensures Vets on Set respects military service while meeting the real needs of productions. They are two of seven siblings raised in Northern Ontario, bringing a shared sense of grounded leadership, resilience, and community to everything they build together.
